All Stars are Not Created Equal

Old man once said: "How 'young' you live your life is up to you. Take it from one who knows. I learned this the hard way." So never settle. Enjoy friends and family. Follow your dreams like you never would.

Two Credenzas

I've come across two sideboards that I'm totally in love with. One boasts a more mid-century vibe while the other is modern-chic. Both will make my space 10x more drool-worthy. What do you think?

Wednesday Splurge: Iconic Kitchen

Mmmm... tasty tasty Eames. Did I mention they're knock offs? I'm not sure if that will fly with most people, but at $60 a pop, who can complain?

Tuesday Idea: Tufted Feel-Good Headboards

Kinda obsessed with them. It's almost like I want everything tufted now. I should design a tufted iPhone case. That'd probably sell a few million.

Room Divider by 16th Workshop

I have a secret lust for shelving units. It's like owning a piece of miniature architecture in a way. Then again, $6900 is a bit out of range for me as of the moment. Oh well.

Smart Sofas

Woot. I'm excited. I'll be designing some crazy shit in the next few weeks. Inspired by Cabracega's USB Sofa, I'm setting out to create the perfect (ha, who am I kidding?) smart sofa that will make computing on the laptop, iPad, or watching TV to be one of the most pleasurable experiences ever.

And no, there aren't any planned attachment upgrades geared towards self-pleasure for now. Maybe in the far future.

Eames is Gold, Man

Got burnt today. Crisp. But being able to see (and sit in!) so many vintage Eames pieces offered at the Alameda Antique Faire today... made it all worth it.

New Home This August

It may be quite a stretch to aim for such extravagance in the place I'll be moving into this summer with a small group of young musicians, DJs, and general hipsters, but one can always dream, right?

Retro Renovation

How I do enjoy a good DIY remix/revamp. Joelle from Umbu Lumiere recently picked up a curbside freebie and added her own visual twist to the chair. To keep some of the vintage intact, she kept a little bit of the original wood, repainted just the outer frame white, and even reused an old skirt for the seat. Now I kinda wish I had some reupholstering skills.
