- You won’t be able to afford your own taste.
- You’ll notice everything that is even slightly out of alignment.
- You’ll never look at a problem without “reading” the context.
- You’ll only analyze a space, you won’t just experience it.
- You’ll be a bystander.
- You’ll be endlessly fascinated with natural light and shadows.
- You won’t be able to let anything go, your brain will spin, you won’t sleep.
- You won’t be able to talk to anyone about what you do. No one will know what a Designer does.
- You’ll be weary and content at the same time.
- Your eyes will hurt.
- You’ll be less respected than you thought.
- Your shyness will be interpreted as arrogance.
- You’ll be working on your craft for years, you’ll never feel like you’ve mastered it, but you’ll keep at it, everyday, again, again.
- You’ll remember every single thing you did wrong on a project, and that will keep you from seeing everything you did right.
- You’ll want to put everything in order, always… But, you may choose not to do that.
- When you’re young, your heroes will be irrelevant. You’ll figure out the people who really matters when you're older.
- You’ll mark the milestones in your life by the projects you were working on at the time.
- You’ll come to know a little about everything, you’ll know a lot about just a few things.
- You’ll begin to see any built environment as a continuously evolving form, built piece by piece by generations of individual efforts - You’ll begin to see balance between individuality and community.
- You’ll often have an opportunity to be the center of attention, but, you won’t know how to take advantage of that.
- You will be interesting… eventually.

Drive (2011) Review
Ah yes, Drive. When I first saw the typographic choice for the movie title, I already had some qualms about it, but luckily this neo-noir, directed towards a lesser mainstream audience has the style, cast, and execution to be one of the slickest film this year. The soundtrack kicks ass and the quick, yet brutal crescendos during turning points in the film really makes me want to bust out the camera once again. This isn't a movie for the light-hearted either. It's surreal, mythic, tense, fun, hilarious, revolting, and surprising. Pulling it all off with flying colors, well... that's what makes this movie so damn fun. 8.9/10.

Equally Beautiful
Now, the man in blue jumper walking across the frame, the blue lorry, blue fence, blue dress, red bridge, the yellow leaf, yellow tennis ball, etc... everything just pops. I think the red represents Lucy and the blue is her ex-boyfriend. Just a thought.
Watch your eyes change from blue and back to green. It's a pretty lovely experience to say the least.

Native Effectivity
Had this idea on the plane and sketched out this Native American-inspired tee design for EffectiveUI's latest branding effort. It's still got a little tweaking to do, but I like the way it came out.

Idea House
I've been debating the idea of monolithic construction for my first big house (above, the Y-House in Japan). Should it create ripples in the neighborhood? Probably. But I should make sure it doesn't seem like a hostile takeover. Else I might get Kid'd.

White Wine
"I hate it when people blame me of having food when children in Africa are starving. I'm proud living my life."
"To my five gardeners standing in a circle, laughing and talking: clean my yard or get the f off my property, this isn't a fiesta, it's a job."
"Meh. It's a park. A very big park. Who cares? I like living in a city because I hate nature, so why would I go to a park?"
"One time when I was 11, I called the cops to report 'force labor' because my mom told me to clean my room."
"There are few things sadder than when my shoes get scuffed up after a fun night out in the town."
"UGHH!! My mom got me a laptop but it doesn't fit in my backpack so I'm making her buy me another laptop!"
