Didn't hear much about this one coming into it, but was glad I checked it out. The musical score was wonderful, animation felt absolutely surreal, and the story was much creepier than I thought it'd be. I mean, secret door? Crazy parallel universe? There were times when I thought it almost compared to a childhood Silent Hill adventure, but then again, that movie was a big letdown. Coraline? Much, much better. It's directed with great wit, absolutely fabulous lookin', and is guaranteed to deliver a good ol' time for both parents and kiddies alike. 8.3/10.
