Kenyon Bajus, Graphical Satirist of the Century

Fans of graffiti artists and Kozyndan will surely appreciate Kenyon's twisted, yet meaningfully offensive, pieces of work. We got war, politicians, and facials. Grab some of his original work or prints from his site.

Little Big Planet (PS3) Review

You always get this strange feeling when you know you've got your hands on a game that simply screams out quality and fun. I had it when I played Call of Duty 4 online. I have it now as I jetpack through strange little levels trying to collect stickers and solve puzzles. The design and implementation of LBP is simply downright amazing. From the clever character creation tool, to the diverse levels filled with secrets and hidden items, it's surely a completist's dream come true and I highly recommend giving it a go. 9.4/10.

Speed Racer Review

I was never really a fan of that ridiculous TV show, so I pretty much came in expecting nothing much but some Wachowski fan fare and ninjas. After a front to back viewing, I was quite satisfied with having seen ninjas. What I didn't expect was the attention to detail and craftsmanship of the world of Speed Racer. The animation is perfect to the cartoonish and campy atmosphere and it's so fitting that I found myself chewing down pizza and laughing my ass off out of sheer amusement. The downside? Too much fun. It runs 2 1/2 hours. I didn't have enough pizza. 8.8/10.

Stussy x Brooks Saddle Hits Japan

Fixed gears and road bikes have become one of the hottest new "old" products to go mainstream with this whole sustainability movement. Thus, it may not come as much of a surprise to see designers pairing up with major bike manufacturers to create the sexiest lookin' bikes on the planet. Stussy Japan, for one, just made my short list for bike seat designers of the year. No pricing yet, though, nor has it been announced for released here in the states.

Kat Hayes Does The Modern Retro Tango

Does she do it well? You know it. I especially enoy the organized mix of art and function found all over the place. More of Kat Hayes on the Sponge.

Hancock Review

Critics enjoy the whole ragging business and sometimes they're right on point. For Hancock, it fits about right in the middle. It's your run-the-mill blockbuster hit featuring Will Smith in it, littered with crappy editing, cool special effects, and a decent enough story to get the movie going. It's a classic example of a great idea, but so-so execution. It'll probably get remade 10 years later, and pulled off even better. That's not to rag on it complete or call it a bad film. It's right up there on "pretty cool" and "not as bad as you'd think." 7.4/10.

The Future of Expansion

We Love To Build is a series by British designer Paul Hollingworth. It's a very clever concept with a smart message - to build effectively and dynamically without sacrificing the geometric genius born from the architects and engineers of today. That is, less suburban sprawl and more thoughtful development.

Fallout 3 (PS3) Review

I'll be quite frank with this one. After reading about all the great reviews from every single major gaming blog out there - I immediately went out and picked up Fallout3 on Day 2 (Yeah, I'm just that kind of guy). Man, was I in for a surprise... and not in a good way either. Story? Yeah, it's there. Voice acting? Super great. Now the main issue that totally brings this game to a screeching halt is the gameplay. It's archaic. It's like Diablo 1. Single character numeric upgrade system, tedious item pickup system, and terribly slow gameplay mechanics that are suppose to make you "enjoy" the amazing nuclear fallout backdrop, but really, all it did was help make my list of most boring games of all time. 6.8/10.

Why I Want To Go Into Usability Design

Mister Apple clan master said it best:

"Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it
works." -- Steve Jobs, The New York Times, 2003
And seeing as there are so many things that just don't behave the way they're suppose, I'm sure I'll be in for a lifetime of work.

Beaver Kid Wants You To Party Safe

Be weary when accessorizing electronics on your costume during this year's especially rainy Halloween. I had originally planned to be an iPod Touch, but that plan has now moved onto Tibetan ninja.

Eames Fiberglass Chairs Are Comfy, Really

They might look just like it was taken from a grade school chair thrown onto a tripod (although that's what it is, really), it's actually a pretty comfortable chair to sit in. I'm not suggesting any book reading or extensive gaming, now, but if you're looking for a new occasional chair this Christmas, this one will fulfill both duties of being both an art piece and a guest chair.

Gus* Modern Makes A Timber Side Table

For $235, I can do much more than buy an acrylic box with white paint on it. Like buy 400 pairs of socks.
