I have always a bit unmoved by video game spinoff movies ever since that tragic Final Fantasy VII attempt, but Degeneration may just change my attitude from here on out. In my personal opinion, the movie is excellent for what it is - a Resident Evil-inspired survival horror film. Especially when compared to Paul Anderson's recent horseshit attempts, it is probably the best Resident Evil film out there right now. But I digress - it's still a movie for the fans and not some 28 Days Later or Dawn of the Dead and if you don't know or haven't played Resident Evil 1 or 2, this can be passed up. However, if you're still in love with Leon and Claire, they're both present in this one and will surely take you down a road down zombie memory lane. 7.8/10.
